Thin PP Sheets for Thermoforming
Mapal produces polypropylene sheets for thermoforming from 120 micron to 5mm.
The low Specific Gravity (0.91 gr/cc) of polypropylene competes successfully with other polymers e.g. PET (1.36 gr/cc) or PVC (1.35 gr/cc).

High Barrier Sheets for Food
Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) Applications
Mapal has a high barrier structure for MAP packaging for raw meat, cheese, ready meals and cooked food. 
Sterilization
Mapal produces polypropylene sheets that are laminated with a barrier film with three thick Ethyl Vinyl Alcohol (EVOH) layers.
This technology enables a short recovery time after the sterilization process. The EVOH layer dries within a few hours. 
Sheets with a Polyethylene (PE) Sealing Layer
Mapal produces polypropylene sheets with a sealing layer made of a special compound that enables sealing of most of the PE films on the market.
Sealing is achieved at low temperatures with time and energy saving benefits.
